Drew P. Von Bargen is a trial attorney at Soloff & Zervanos where he litigates complex personal injury and wrongful death cases, stemming from automotive and commercial trucking accidents, premises liability matters, product defects, and violent crimes. Additionally, Mr. Von Bargen has broad experience representing survivors of adult and childhood sexual abuse against religious institutions, schools, youth organizations, foster care agencies, healthcare facilities, and other parties. Through this work, Mr. Von Bargen has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star (top 2.5% of lawyers under 40) in Pennsylvania each year since 2018 and, additionally, has been selected to Pennsylvania’s Top 40 Under 40 in the area of Civil Litigation during that same time.
Mr. Von Bargen has been an attorney with Soloff & Zervanos since 2014. Since then, Mr. Von Bargen has helped to recover millions of dollars on behalf of his clients each year. In this vein, Mr. Von Bargen has experience in all aspects of case handling, from initial client communication through litigation and trial. Additionally, Mr. Von Bargen has vast experience briefing and arguing appellate matters across various states, including appeals in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and California. This work has helped to create new and favorable case law that has strengthened the rights of injured parties and victims of crime.
Mr. Von Bargen is currently a proud member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Crime Victim Bar Association (NCVBA). Within the NCVBA, Mr. Von Bargen serves on the amicus committee, assisting lawyers throughout the country in their own appellate efforts.
Mr. Von Bargen earned his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude. As a law student, Mr. Von Bargen was selected to participate in the Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute (TPI), a nationally renowned litigation program. Within that program, Mr. Von Bargen was selected as the Walter E. Oberer Scholar, a distinction awarded to the student who exhibits the most skill in trial advocacy. In law school, Mr. Von Bargen also earned the Jurisprudence Award in multiple courses (Torts, Products Liability, Medical Malpractice Litigation, and Pre-Trial), a designation awarded to the top student in the class.
During law school, Mr. Von Bargen served as the Managing Editor of the Michigan State University Journal of Medicine and Law and also held a position on the Executive Board for the National Conference of Law Reviews. Additionally, Mr. Von Bargen has been published on the topic of crime victim representation, having authored “Nittany Lions, Clergy, and Scouts, Oh My! Harmonizing the Interplay Between Memory Repression and Statutes of Limitation in Child Sexual Abuse Litigation.” 18 Mich. St. U. J. Med. & L. 51 (2014).
Prior to law school, Mr. Von Bargen was a Division I scholar-athlete at Monmouth University, where he graduated with high honors in 2011.
